What Do We Need?

If you instruct us to create a website for you, there are certain things you need to supply us with which will enable us to proceed in a timely manner.  It is a good idea to have these prepared prior to instructing us.

Design:

Look at other websites and choose some designs that you think are right for your business, probably up to five.  Make a note of the addresses.  This will give us some idea of the sort of website you are looking for.  If you want graphics included, a sketch of where graphics should appear on pages would be helpful.  If you word process the content, you could insert the graphics into the document.

Menu Titles:

Consider what you want your menu titles to be and note them.  Also decide what order you would like them to be in.

Written Content:

Prepare the content you want to use.  This can be done in any word processor.  Think about what pages you are going to have on your site and write the content for each one.  When writing your content, think abot what people are likely to be searching for and include key phrases withing your content.  We can give you advice on which are the best performing keywords with the least competition for your particular business.

Graphics Content:

Any photos or clipart you want used should be gathered together and descriptions for the images should be included.

Domain Name and Hosting Information:

If you have already registered a domain name and have hosting, we will need the login information and ftp details to enable us to upload your website.  If you haven't already registered a domain name and purchased a hosting account, pleases read the Useful Information section.
